​​Northumberland County Council, alongside Rothbury CAN, formed the first Tree Warden Group in Northumberland.

Tree Wardens plant, protect, and promote their local trees. No training or experience in tree management is needed – just a love of trees and a few hours to spare.
Rothbury Tree Wardens are a friendly bunch of people who give some spare time to help with:

local tree planting days

pruning, watering, and giving vital aftercare to local trees after planting

keep an eye on our iconic trees, and inform Rothbury Parish Council of any needing attention
