​​Northumberland County Council, alongside Rothbury CAN, formed the first Tree Warden Group in Northumberland.

​

Tree Wardens plant, protect, and promote their local trees. No training or experience in tree management is needed – just a love of trees and a few hours to spare.

 Rothbury Tree Wardens are a friendly bunch of people who give some spare time to help with:

• local tree planting days

• pruning, watering, and giving vital aftercare to local trees after planting

• keep an eye on our iconic trees, and inform Rothbury Parish Council of any needing attention
