14th September 2024 - the third annual Rothbury Great Big Green Event was bigger and better than ever before.

The talks were all well attended - from the Climate Cafe, to the River Coquet Update. We learned more about wild flowers from the knowledgeable and fun presenter, Jane Austin-Walker. Jane Davis gave an update on the River Coquet, and Elke Meiborg hosted another successful Climate Cafe.

We had Northumberland County Council showcasing their new Climate policies and documents - below are Hannah and Heather.

Northumberland Wildlife Trust and Peatlands Project came along, to showcase their work.

Friends of the Earth had a lovely colourful stall, with lots for children too.

Rothbury WI, as always, supported the event, giving away free door snakes, made to order. They were also selling their famous WI Naked Calendar!

The wonderful Otter Handmade came along to showcase their skilful, beautifully made, ethical wooden products.

RSPCA reminded us again that Christmas is just around the corner!

Seeds2Trees and Living Woods came for their first Rothbury Great Big Green Event

The Girl Guides stall had loads of prizes and things to do.

Magical Potts sold plenty of products.

Canny Sourdough sold out very quickly, delicious bread, John!

Colours of Coquetdale are always popular pieces to purchase (see below).

All Saints Church reminding us of the work they are doing regarding the climate crisis.
